GEA AromaPlus PRO reduces the water consumption for diafiltration during dealcoholization by up to 100 percent. The alcoholic base produced as a by-product of the filtration process can be utilized for manufacturing different beverages in the brewery, such as onerous seltzer.
GEA AromaPlus uses a filtration expertise with particular polymer membranes to separate alcohol and water from the other elements by the use of reverse osmosis; these ingredients are crucial for the aroma, color and turbidity of the ultimate product. Adding the new PRO technology to the water-saving CO2 blow-out function and the selective membrane which is already implemented in the AromaPlus unit design, GEA saves greater than two thirds and up to 100 percent of the contemporary water used for diafiltration.
“Our newest AromaPlus generation combines the development in the course of zero.0% beer with the aim of lowering water in production,” says Ralf Scheibner, filtration skilled at GEA, beneath whose leadership the GEA AromaPlus has been further developed. “In reality, a membrane course of requires lots of water to flush out the alcohol. That is an issue for breweries with a restricted deoxygenized water availability. Our new PRO solution is a vital step for them in course of contemporary water neutrality in manufacturing processes.”

While breweries want much less contemporary water for the diafiltration step, the permeate leaving the system can be reused as a valuable by-product. Due to its lower volume, it has a better alcohol content and can therefore function a base for alcoholic combined drinks and newer beverages, corresponding to onerous seltzer, or could be reused within the brewery itself.
“The Corona pandemic confirmed that breweries whose production amenities supplied the flexibleness to course of other beverages coped finest with the drop in demand. เกจวัดแรงดันลมคือ is an efficient instance of how customers can gear their plants toward high demand dynamics,” says Scheibner. Originally designed for the dealcoholization of beer down to 0.0%, the system may also be used used for other non-alcoholic beverages, such as zero.0% cider.
